Sacred Sole Massage & Bodywork has always followed a strict sanitation protocol to prepare for each client visit. In response to COVID19, a few NEW measures have been added. Updated April 2020
AS ALWAYS! Disinfectant Products
Ultracare Disinfectant Concentrate has been used to clean at Sacred Sole for years. As of April 2020, there are no disinfectant product labels that specifically list COVID-19. However, the EPA has pre-approved some products, including Ultracare, that are effective against similar viruses. Ultracare is:
· EPA-registered hospital-grade disinfectant
· Fungicidal, germicidal, pseudomonacidal, and virucidal
· One-step cleaning and disinfecting
· Effective against 141 organisms in 10-minute contact time
· Non-irritating to eyes and skin, and fragrance-free
All high-touch surfaces, as well as the floor, will be disinfected between each client.
Each massage table has a vinyl barrier between the fitted sheet and the table warmer which will be disinfected between each client. Each face cradle also has a vinyl barrier and will be disinfected between each client, including the lever and frame.
NEW! Ultra Violet light (UV-C) Room Disinfecting
UVlizer uses ultra violet light (UV-C in particular) and ozone molecules, two things that are naturally present in nature, to eradicate pathogens, germs, and viruses. According to the CDC: "The entire UV spectrum can kill or inactivate many microorganisms, but UVC energy provides the most germicidal effect."
The UVlizer will cycle for 15 minutes between clients, after which the room will receive fresh air drawn inward with a fan or air-conditioner for an additional 15 minutes between each client.
AS ALWAYS! Ultra Violet Hot Towel Cabinet
The towel warmer has an ultra violet light to sanitize towels. If used during a session, the flax hand-warming pillows will be sanitized in the cabinet as well.
AS ALWAYS! Laundry
All linens, including the sheets, cover blanket, and all towels will be washed with hot water and “sanitizing” cycle. Lysol Laundry Sanitizer is added along with regular detergent.
NEW COVID PRECAUTION Theresa will wear a face mask throughout your session. Client will be asked to wear a facemask while face-up.
NEW! The floor area rug will be removed. Because barefoot massage clients lie on a floor-level table, I’ve decided the best way to sanitize the floor area is to remove the area rug. For my safety while performing barefoot massage, non-skid cloths will be placed along the table to reduce the chance for a slip/fall while I’m working. The cloths/mats will be sanitized after each session.
AS ALWAYS! Theresa will continue to maintain impeccable hand and feet hygiene which includes washing with soap and water up to the elbows, or up to the ankles, before and after each session. Fingernails and toenails are always clipped and filed as short as possible, and a soft bristle washing brush or washcloth.
Questions about sanitation are ALWAYS welcome.
